Denis Simion stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Octav Stoleru's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. 13 minutes into the match, EXCAVATORUL SANTA FE's goal looked a bit too open when Octav Stoleru came free, but Denis Simion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toader Cosor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Simion having to interfere. If Toader Cosor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Madei booed when EXCAVATORUL SANTA FE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iacob Vintilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the game, EXCAVATORUL SANTA FE's Denis Covataru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastian Taşcău made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 37th match minute, EXCAVATORUL SANTA FE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucrețiu Bocaneț to maneuver through the defense. The referee ignored Madei's protests and gave Filip Roşculeţ a yellow card for diving instead. Filip Roşculeţ hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Nechifor Dulfu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Octav Stoleru was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, one of Madei:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Călin Anastasiu shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 59th minute Bogdan Agudin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Taşcău saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denis Simion didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toader Cosor went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. EXCAVATORUL SANTA FE's Denis Simion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorin Vătavu in the 64th minute of play. Toader Cosor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cazimir Magheran during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, Madei's Daniel Gherasescu tried to score from far away in the 71st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Denis Simion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toader Cosor in the 73rd minute of play. Sebastian Taşcău made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Denis Covataru sent off a good shot on target. 80 minutes into the match, EXCAVATORUL SANTA FE's goal looked a bit too open when Toader Cosor came free, but Denis Simion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Stelian Isbășoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toader Cosor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Denis Simion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 99th minute, Bogdan Agudin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sebastian Taşcău. The goal made the score 2-2. Madei were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
