Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Francisc Băsescu's late challenge caught a -BZF- FCSB-BUZAU's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisc Băsescu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Brinceni's Francisc Băsescu got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Călin Lucrețiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Aron Scaeru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Eugen Giosu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute Rareș Nicolescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciprian Maniu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudiu Ciungu kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Ciprian Maniu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Semavi Develi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Brinceni defense, Severino Mitxel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciprian Maniu. The Brinceni fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciprian Maniu should have stopped the shot. Semavi Develi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half -BZF- FCSB-BUZAU were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Semavi Develi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aron Scaeru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Ciungu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute Brinceni were awarded a corner. Iurie Chirnoagă went to the cornerflag to take it. Ciprian Maniu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rareș Nicolescu in the 59th minute. Ferdinand Bădiliță charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ferdinand Bădiliță the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of -BZF- FCSB-BUZAU booed when Brinceni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Bădiliță didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Călin Lucrețiu fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brinceni's protests and gave Călin Lucrețiu a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Brinceni got a freekick which was hit by Călin Lucrețiu. Severino Mitxel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Rareș Nicolescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The -BZF- FCSB-BUZAU fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. A collision led to Brinceni getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Virgil Talianu hit a great ball. When Sandu Homeag came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Brinceni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandu Homeag couldn't finish the play. If Ferdinand Bădiliță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciprian Maniu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rareș Nicolescu in the 95th minute of the match. When the match was over -BZF- FCSB-BUZAU could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Brinceni throughout the match.
