The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, LUCEAFARUL BUCURESTIULUI's Cristi Moldovan got a free kick in the 9th minute. The audience was convinced that Martin Simionică's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Irinel Achifoaiei was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. In the 11th minute, Cristi Măcriș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damian Teaşcă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irinel Achifoaiei having to interfere. Damian Teaşcă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Damian Teaşcă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haita RO's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Teaşcă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Irinel Achifoaiei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Irinel Achifoaiei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabin Hălmăgeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristi Măcriș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Damian Teaşcă took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Irinel Achifoaiei. Irinel Achifoaiei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Damian Teaşcă put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Irinel Achifoaiei. Cristi Măcriș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, LUCEAFARUL BUCURESTIULUI's goalkeeper Irinel Achifoaiei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damian Teaşcă. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valeriu Țâpu during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 47 played minutes LUCEAFARUL BUCURESTIULUI got a freekick which was hit by Valeriu Țâpu. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valeriu Senin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Irinel Achifoaiei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Teaşcă in the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Martin Simionică ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Irinel Achifoaiei was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Simionică in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Irinel Achifoaiei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Haita RO's Damian Teaşcă got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristi Măcriș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Irinel Achifoaiei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Teaşcă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Haita RO were the better team. Haita RO's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
