After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Martin Verzea managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.S. MEDGIDIA's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Verzea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. MEDGIDIA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristi Gâțea helped the player get up and apologised. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martin Verzea was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Verzea in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Irinel Achifoaiei saved LUCEAFARUL BUCURESTIULUI from getting behind. Irinel Achifoaiei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Verzea in the 54th minute. Daniel Murgoci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Irinel Achifoaiei managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when C.S. MEDGIDIA's Martin Verzea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 60th minute of the match C.S. MEDGIDIA got a corner. LUCEAFARUL BUCURESTIULUI's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adrian Ailioaiei ran over to the corner to take the kick. C.S. MEDGIDIA's Adrian Ailioaiei was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Irinel Achifoaiei in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. C.S. MEDGIDIA's Ziya Hacıağa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valeriu Senin in the 62nd minute of play. If Martin Verzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panait Iordan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irinel Achifoaiei having to interfere. C.S.
