Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hami Soyselçuk kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Haita RO booed when CSU.Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costel Achifoaiei didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Haita RO's Cristi Măcriș got a free kick in the 6th minute. Damian Teaşcă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th match minute, CSU.Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calistrat Otețea to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Martin Simionică's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eric Drăucean was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. 24 minutes in the game, Ovidiu Pop fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Eric Drăucean having to interfere. CSU.Craiova's Eric Drăucean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Simionică in the 27th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Haita RO's Cristi Măcriș slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eric Drăucean. That made the score 1-0 after 29 minutes of play. Martin Simionică in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eric Drăucean, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Răzvan Todericiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Drăucean having to interfere. Martin Simionică in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eric Drăucean, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rufus Slater struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Lucian Mihai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSU.Craiova. After a defensive mix-up in Haita RO's zone, Rufus Slater stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucian Mihai came out of the goal and Rufus Slater tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mugurel Orescu hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martin Simionică was the one to do the kick off. Lucian Tase's late challenge caught a CSU.Craiova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucian Tase helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Haita RO getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Lucian Tase hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the game, Haita RO's Damian Teaşcă nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eric Drăucean made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. CSU.Craiova made a substitution. Albert Panaitescu replaced Remus Lechințan. Martin Simionică received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Eric Drăucean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Damian Teaşcă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CSU.Craiova's Felix Udrescu got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Simionică in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eric Drăucean prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Damian Teaşcă came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Haita RO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Teaşcă couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute Martin Simionică shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Drăucean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Haita RO players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
