With a little luck, Duleul AS's Sebastian Zoreanu got control of the ball when Emil Hosu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 6th match minute, Duleul AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cezar Buceceanu to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Zoreanu was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Adrian Niculiță capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adrian Niculiță really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Adrian Niculiță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Zoreanu having to interfere. Cezar Miclea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Kazimierz Skaradoski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cezar Buceceanu struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Kazimierz Skaradoski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Duleul AS. After having played for 29 minutes, Cezar Miclea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Duleul AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cezar Miclea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastian Zoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Niculiță in the 38th minute of play. When Adrian Niculiță came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Iasi AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Niculiță couldn't finish the play. Duleul AS's Sebastian Zoreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Niculiță in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cezar Miclea to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Iasi AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cezar Miclea came free, but Kazimierz Skaradoski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cezar Buceceanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Duleul AS's zone, Emil Hosu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Zoreanu came out of the goal and Emil Hosu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Adrian Niculiță managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iasi AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian Niculiță was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Zoreanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adrian Niculiță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Adrian Niculiță's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastian Zoreanu was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Emil Hosu struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Sebastian Zoreanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iasi AFC. Mihail Tutuianu hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute Emil Hosu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Zoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Cezar Buceceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Duleul AS's supporters rose to their feet, but Cezar Buceceanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Zoreanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adrian Niculiță's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Emil Hosu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Zoreanu having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Duleul AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Șipoș to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Duleul AS's zone, Adrian Niculiță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Zoreanu came out of the goal and Adrian Niculiță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that Iasi AFC were the better team. Iasi AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
