Flutarasti's Manuel Bungeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Velichko Vlasarev in the 10th minute of play. Novak Djokovic's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Bungeanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Flutarasti's Horea Şania got a free kick in the 12th minute. When Novak Djokovic came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the FC Efervescent fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Novak Djokovic couldn't finish the play. Manuel Bungeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Velichko Vlasarev in the 15th minute of the match. Flavius Mirciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marius Brânzaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Nistor Crivoi made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Efervescent's Doru Muraru. Novak Djokovic might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Bungeanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Novak Djokovic ran back to his position shaking his head. After 27 played minutes FC Efervescent got a freekick which was hit by Olimpiu Bobariu. After 28 played minutes FC Efervescent got a freekick which was hit by Avram Curcă. Iustin Tănăsescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Flavius Mirciu. FC Efervescent's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Velichko Vlasarev succeeded in the game's 32nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. 36 minutes into the game, Emanuel Zăvoianu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Manuel Bungeanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Novak Djokovic in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Bungeanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Velichko Vlasarev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Velichko Vlasarev was the one to do the kick off. Novak Djokovic could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Manuel Bungeanu made a huge save. Manuel Bungeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Zăvoianu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Velichko Vlasarev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Bungeanu was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Manuel Bungeanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Velichko Vlasarev's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. The FC Efervescent supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Efervescent would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
