Bogdan Fenici came out of the goal and Horaţiu Bala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Rajletul CSS booed when ACS Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ştefan Dășanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th match minute, ACS Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gelu Dumitrana to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vali Panciu in the 9th minute of play forced Rajletul CSS's goalkeeper Emil Țâpu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Horaţiu Bala fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rajletul CSS's protests and gave Horaţiu Bala a yellow card for diving instead. Emil Țâpu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gelu Dumitrana in the 15th minute of play. Jeferson Hames kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Ahmet Nedim Üstay might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emil Țâpu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Nedim Üstay ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Jeferson Hames got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Vali Panciu managed to get in a good position for a shot. ACS Timisoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Vali Panciu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emil Țâpu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. ACS Timisoara's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
