Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cristi Săndoi started the match with the kick off. A collision led to FC Botosani getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Sorin Aldescu hit a great ball. Cristi Săndoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Dinu Arseanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Botosani's Sorin Aldescu pulled a muscle in his leg after 8 minutes and couldn't finish the game. A collision led to Goala AFC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Iosif Bogătan hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, Corneliu Panduru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Răzvan Romulus came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Goala AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Răzvan Romulus couldn't finish the play. Gheorghe Hritcu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Lucian Căliman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iordache Crivoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 19 minutes into the match, Goala AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gheorghe Hritcu came free, but Lucian Căliman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gheorghe Hritcu in the 20th minute of play forced Goala AFC's goalkeeper Lucian Căliman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 minutes Goala AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gică Jucu who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Goala AFC's goalie and right to Gheorghe Hritcu. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Goala AFC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. FC Botosani's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Aurelian Toacsen scored to the left of an out of position Dinu Arseanu, making the score, 1-0. After 31 played minutes Goala AFC got a freekick which was hit by Doru Ozon. Lucian Căliman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gheorghe Hritcu in the 34th minute of the match. Lucian Căliman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iordache Crivoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 minutes, Iordache Crivoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Botosani and the Goala AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Goala AFC booed when FC Botosani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iordache Crivoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cristi Săndoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Gheorghe Hritcu made the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when Iosif Macavei put in a rough tackle. Corneliu Panduru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lucian Căliman made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Iordache Crivoi sent off a good shot on target. Lucian Căliman was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Iordache Crivoi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iordache Crivoi really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Iordache Crivoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Lucian Căliman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Corneliu Panduru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iordache Crivoi got free with Lucian Căliman in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76thth minute of the game Cristi Săndoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Botosani's Dinu Arseanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dinu Arseanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Răzvan Romulus in the 79th minute of play. Dinu Arseanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristi Săndoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Cristi Andrițoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aurel Huțanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in FC Botosani's zone, Cristi Săndoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dinu Arseanu came out of the goal and Cristi Săndoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96thth minute of the game Cristi Săndoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Botosani's Dinu Arseanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Corneliu Panduru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucian Căliman having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Goala AFC had won after a very even match.
