Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Grigore Borcea got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute Gigi Găman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mircea Micescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigore Borcea in the 6th minute of play forced Varf's goalkeeper Mircea Micescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Varf's Mircea Micescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Varf from getting a goal against them. Batoci UFC's Marian Mihaiu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 12th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Varf. Varf's Mircea Micescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigore Borcea in the 14th minute of play. After 14 played minutes Batoci UFC got a freekick which was hit by Mihăiţă Niculescu. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Batoci UFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Varf:s goal. In the 25th minute there was a penalty for Varf. Codruț Galiceanu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Iustin Beniuc. 2-1. Varf's Mircea Micescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Varf from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinu Datcu in the 36th minute of play forced Batoci UFC's goalkeeper Iustin Beniuc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Batoci UFC's Iustin Beniuc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinu Datcu in the 38th minute of play. Leontin Chihaia hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nechifor Buga to make the kick off. Batoci UFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Dinu Datcu scored to the left of an out of position Iustin Beniuc, making the score, 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florin Braia during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 62 played minutes Batoci UFC got a freekick which was hit by Florin Braia. When Florin Braia came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Batoci UFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florin Braia couldn't finish the play. In the 75th match minute, Batoci UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Hârlău to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dennis Kortens got free with Iustin Beniuc in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Batoci UFC's Leonard Hârlău got a free kick in the 81st minute. Dennis Kortens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Iustin Beniuc made a huge save. In the 83rd match minute, Batoci UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Hârlău to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Varf getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Olimpiu Muslea hit a great ball. After 90 played minutes Batoci UFC got a freekick which was hit by Leontin Chihaia. Gigi Găman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
