Bratei's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Plotonita AS the free kick. The supporters of Plotonita AS booed when Bratei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrei Antim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nistor Târlea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dan Sărăroiu. Bratei's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Edvaldo Linhares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dan Sărăroiu having to make a save. A collision led to Plotonita AS getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Nistor Târlea hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Leonard Turcu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bratei's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonard Turcu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Panait Bobeica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Plotonita AS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Panait Bobeica should have stopped the shot. Panait Stolojan took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dan Sărăroiu. Dan Sărăroiu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 47 minutes into the game, Panait Stolojan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flavius Bărcăuan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 48th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edvaldo Linhares to strike the kick off in the second half. The Bratei players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
