Manole Marincean hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Marc-Antoine Tardif kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andrei Gheorghe. That made the score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. When Iacob Eniceicu fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aghiris UFC's protests and gave Iacob Eniceicu a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes Aghiris UFC got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Eniceicu. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Aghiris UFC's goalkeeper Andrei Gheorghe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andrei Gheorghe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc-Antoine Tardif, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Aghiris UFC's zone, Tom Baker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrei Gheorghe came out of the goal and Tom Baker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrei Gheorghe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tom Baker in the 45th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Monastirea AC's goal looked a bit too open when Mihail Spirache came free, but Anton Bianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

52 minutes into the match, Iustin Golescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrei Gheorghe. Aghiris UFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iustin Golescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 56th minute, Tom Baker made a precise shot to the right of Andrei Gheorghe. Aghiris UFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. If Tom Baker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrei Gheorghe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustave Adrien in the 65th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Tom Baker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrei Gheorghe was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. After 71 minutes of play, Aghiris UFC's Iacob Eniceicu made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anton Bianu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Andrei Gheorghe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc-Antoine Tardif, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tom Baker ran back to his position shaking his head. Anton Bianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihail Spirache in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Iacob Eniceicu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anton Bianu, 3-2. In the 92nd minute, Irinel Nițu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Monastirea AC were the better team. Monastirea AC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
