After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Florin Roşu managed to get in a good position for a shot. CFR Cluj's supporters rose to their feet, but Florin Roşu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Lăzan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Irinel Marincean lost his temper 19 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Mangalia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! Daniel Lăzan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florin Roşu in the 23rd minute of the match. When Alexandru Durbac came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the CFR Cluj fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandru Durbac couldn't finish the play. FC Mangalia's Daniel Lăzan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandru Durbac in the 27th minute of play. In the 57th minute Alexandru Durbac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Lăzan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Lăzan came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by CFR Cluj's Florin Roşu. But to his dismay, Florin Roşu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Daniel Lăzan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandru Durbac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the match, CFR Cluj's Alexandru Durbac sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Lăzan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 80 played minutes Alexandru Durbac rounded FC Mangalia's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-5. CFR Cluj's Gelu Pop suffered a sore thigh after 94 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matei Birișu during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Matei Birișu hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
