Basarab Elian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Cotofenii FC's Basarab Elian got control of the ball when Doru Arotăriței tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cotofenii FC's Basarab Elian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doru Arotăriței in the 9th minute of play. Doru Arotăriței could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Basarab Elian made a huge save. In the 12th minute, Cotofenii FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Doru Arotăriței fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Răzvan Prislop kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Călin Jurca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Basarab Elian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ambrosia were furious when Gergin Balev was red carded, 26 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Cotofenii FC booed when Ambrosia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gergin Balev didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Yuri Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Opriș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Ambrosia's Răzvan Prislop dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiberiu Frunză during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th minute, one of Cotofenii FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cotofenii FC. In the 43rd minute, Amadeo Arnau made a precise shot to the right of Andrei Opriș. Ambrosia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Andrei Opriș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gică Rădvan, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Cotofenii FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mihnea Ştefulescu in the 48th minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Amadeo Arnau got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 5-2. 48 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Doru Arotăriței made a kick off. A collision led to Cotofenii FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Dominic Fonticoba hit a great ball. In the 55th minute Răzvan Prislop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basarab Elian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doru Arotăriței received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Basarab Elian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Grigore Cârnu got free with Andrei Opriș in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd minute Yuri Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Opriș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigore Cârnu in the 63rd minute of play forced Ambrosia's goalkeeper Andrei Opriș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Cotofenii FC's goal looked a bit too open when Doru Arotăriței came free, but Basarab Elian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeo Arnau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Corneliu Petrulean hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. With his leg Andrei Opriș managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Cotofenii FC's Yuri Mendonça fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ambrosia made a substitution. Dorin Nicolcioiu replaced Cătălin Răchită. In the 76th minute, Edgar Reznic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basarab Elian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doru Arotăriței in the 79th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Răzvan Prislop managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ambrosia's supporters rose to their feet, but Răzvan Prislop was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basarab Elian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolae Trişcu during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Andrei Opriș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihnea Ştefulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the game, Ambrosia's Călin Jurca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basarab Elian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-2. Andrei Opriș didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 6-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doru Arotăriței in the 95th minute of play forced Cotofenii FC's goalkeeper Basarab Elian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Răzvan Prislop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Basarab Elian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cotofenii FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
