The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Iurie Nițoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Delgado in the 5th minute of the match. Octav Robescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Anton Goicea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anton Goicea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustin Herea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FC REAL MADRID's Anton Goicea got control of the ball when Maxim Pandele tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leontin Caramarin might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iurie Nițoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leontin Caramarin ran back to his position shaking his head. Iurie Nițoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leontin Caramarin in the 17th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Nucul got a freekick which was hit by Virgil Ghețea. After some careless play in the FC REAL MADRID defense, Maxim Pandele kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anton Goicea. The FC REAL MADRID fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anton Goicea should have stopped the shot. After 25 played minutes FC REAL MADRID got a freekick which was hit by Leontin Caramarin. Ioan Zeciu kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. A collision led to FC REAL MADRID getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Fernando Delgado hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Anton Goicea successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Leontin Caramarin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Nițoi having to interfere. Octavian Anton hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Anton Goicea was a little too slow when Iustin Herea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Delgado made a kick off. In the 59th minute, Fernando Delgado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Iurie Nițoi. The goal made the score 2-2. In the 63rd minute, Maxim Pandele made a precise shot to the right of Anton Goicea. FC REAL MADRID's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Leontin Caramarin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute Maxim Pandele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Goicea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Nucul's Iurie Nițoi got control of the ball when Leontin Caramarin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Octavian Tobă's late challenge caught a FC REAL MADRID's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavian Tobă helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Nucul's Valentin Todericiu got a free kick in the 77th minute. FC REAL MADRID's Fernando Delgado got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Leontin Caramarin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Maxim Pandele ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anton Goicea was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. 89 minutes into the match, Nucul's goalkeeper Iurie Nițoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Delgado. Maxim Pandele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octav Robescu scored 5-2 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anton Goicea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
