When Mihail Găvănescu fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Veta's protests and gave Mihail Găvănescu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, Veta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihail Găvănescu to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, Cornea's Ovidiu Achim broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide.
