When Ivan Macavei fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sindrila's protests and gave Ivan Macavei a yellow card for diving instead. After 4 played minutes Sindrila got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Macavei. In the 6thth minute of the game Vali Albu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sindrila's Dan Vaida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Borussia Dortmund's Codrin Penaru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Dortmund from getting a goal against them. The Borussia Dortmund fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Borussia Dortmund's Victor Hoancă looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 19 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's Victor Hoancă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dan Vaida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Sindrila's goal looked a bit too open when Vali Albu came free, but Dan Vaida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Sindrila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Macavei to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Rădulescu to maneuver through the defense. Victor Hoancă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund's Victor Hoancă got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, David Oprea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sindrila's supporters rose to their feet, but David Oprea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Codrin Penaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basarab Oanță during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Borussia Dortmund fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! Nicodim Almăgean hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute, Vali Albu made a precise shot to the right of Dan Vaida. Sindrila's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3.

Sindrila's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borussia Dortmund the free kick. The supporters of Borussia Dortmund booed when Sindrila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gheorghe Goiceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vali Albu in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dan Vaida, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Victor Hoancă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Vaida having to interfere. Sindrila's Dan Vaida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marius Archiudean in the 70th minute of play. Victor Hoancă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victor Hoancă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Dan Vaida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dan Vaida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Hoancă in the 84th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Sindrila's goalkeeper Dan Vaida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vali Albu. In the 89th minute, Horea Harhoiu made a precise shot to the right of Codrin Penaru. Borussia Dortmund's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vali Albu got free with Dan Vaida in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 98th minute, Vali Albu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Borussia Dortmund played a much better game than Sindrila and deserved their victory. The Sindrila players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
