Emilian Comarnescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisc Filipașcu in the 68th minute of the match. Eric Nicea had in the 93rdth minute some difficulties stopping Petru Gorunescu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Andrei Avram managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Universitatea Cluj's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrei Avram was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Andrei Avram had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th minute, Toader Câmpeanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Universitatea Cluj fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.
