The Cufoaia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Călin Melentie hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Vali Albu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borussia Dortmund's supporters rose to their feet, but Vali Albu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toader Răducu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Codrin Penaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radu Tobă, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Codrin Penaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radu Tobă in the 25th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radu Nae in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Codrin Penaru saved Borussia Dortmund from getting behind. Toader Răducu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Hoancă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Borussia Dortmund defense, Radu Nae kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Codrin Penaru. The Borussia Dortmund fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Codrin Penaru should have stopped the shot. Flavius Aliuta kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Toader Răducu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Hoancă in the 42nd minute of play. Vali Albu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Hoancă to make the kick off. Matei Verzea hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Vali Albu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toader Răducu having to interfere. Toader Răducu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Albu in the 63rd minute of play. Toader Răducu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Hoancă's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. In the 70th minute, Radu Nae got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Cufoaia booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicodim Almăgean didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Radu Nae got free with Codrin Penaru in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vali Albu in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Toader Răducu saved Cufoaia from getting behind. Codrin Penaru made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Radu Nae sent off a good shot on target. Radu Tobă struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Codrin Penaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cufoaia. 82 minutes into the game, Flavius Aliuta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borussia Dortmund's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cufoaia the free kick. Flavius Aliuta kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After 84 minutes, Radu Tobă mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cufoaia and the Borussia Dortmund players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vali Albu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Borussia Dortmund supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cufoaia's performance. The match ended with a win for Cufoaia.
