David Oprea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Comarnescu having to interfere. Emilian Comarnescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horea Harhoiu in the 20th minute of the match. David Oprea's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Emilian Comarnescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A hard shot 21 in the game by David Oprea from a close distance when the talented Emilian Comarnescu managed to make a qualified save. Universitatea Cluj's players were relieved. Dan Vaida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toader Câmpeanu in the 23rd minute of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Andrei Avram managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Universitatea Cluj's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrei Avram was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute, Denis Chiru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Universitatea Cluj getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Toader Câmpeanu hit a great ball. Horea Harhoiu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emilian Comarnescu having to make a save. 28 minutes into the match, David Oprea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emilian Comarnescu. Universitatea Cluj's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Oprea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Horea Harhoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 39th minute, David Oprea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Toader Câmpeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Dan Vaida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Toader Câmpeanu made the kick off in the second half. Emilian Comarnescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horea Harhoiu's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Ivan Macavei hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute Horea Harhoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Comarnescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrei Avram kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes Sindrila got a freekick which was hit by David Oprea. Toader Câmpeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Oprea might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emilian Comarnescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Oprea ran back to his position shaking his head. Sindrila were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Universitatea Cluj for a fine match.
