But to his dismay, Victor Vuşcan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 13 minutes in the game, Iacob Negoescu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Marcel Corcoveanu having to interfere. Codrin Stroescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Senin in the 15th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Mihnea Praporgescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lapus's supporters rose to their feet, but Mihnea Praporgescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Codrin Stroescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Codrin Stroescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mihnea Praporgescu went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Cristian Senin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Corcoveanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Vuşcan in the 33rd minute. Victor Vuşcan in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marcel Corcoveanu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Ion Cioacă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Lapus's goalkeeper Marcel Corcoveanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Vuşcan. After a rather tough play, Lapus's Codrin Liciu got a free kick in the 39th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Cristian Senin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lapus's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Senin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Codrin Stroescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Senin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Codrin Stroescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mihnea Praporgescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dagata! The referee gave Lapus a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ernest Armanca, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Dagata's Codrin Stroescu. 1-2. After 58 minutes, Iacob Negoescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dagata and the Lapus players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dagata's goalkeeper Codrin Stroescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Codrin Stroescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Senin, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. If Sandu Gabor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Senin hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. Lapus's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
