Spectators: 7550 (Terracing: 5664, Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mihnea Praporgescu kicked off to start the match. If Mihnea Praporgescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in REAL18 GALATI's zone, Sandu Gabor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ion Constantinescu came out of the goal and Sandu Gabor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gică Macrea's late challenge caught a Lapus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gică Macrea helped the player get up and apologised. Ion Constantinescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihnea Praporgescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. The Lapus fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Lapus's Cristian Senin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Sandu Gabor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mihnea Praporgescu took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ion Constantinescu. Ion Constantinescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 29 minutes into the match, Mihnea Praporgescu notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of REAL18 GALATI's Ion Constantinescu. Ion Constantinescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 32nd minute, Cristian Senin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lapus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 36th minute Cristian Senin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ion Constantinescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Sandu Gabor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lapus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandu Gabor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Lapus's Mihnea Praporgescu in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Romeo Udurbac hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Horea Cârnațiu made the kick off in the second half. Marcel Corcoveanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Sitaru in the 54th minute of the match. In the 54th minute Leonard Sitaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Corcoveanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. REAL18 GALATI's Ion Constantinescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save REAL18 GALATI from getting a goal against them. Sandu Gabor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Constantinescu having to interfere. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind REAL18 GALATI's goalkeeper Ion Constantinescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, REAL18 GALATI's Fabian Curta got a free kick in the 61st minute. Ion Constantinescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihnea Praporgescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Senin struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Ion Constantinescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lapus. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihnea Praporgescu in the 65th minute of play forced REAL18 GALATI's goalkeeper Ion Constantinescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Codrin Liciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Senin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th match minute, REAL18 GALATI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Curta to maneuver through the defense. The REAL18 GALATI fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lapus were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
