Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mircea Rainea started the match with the kick off. The supporters of FC Velos booed when Poroina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basarab Damian didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dumitru Sântimbrean in the 19th minute of play forced FC Velos's goalkeeper Teodor Focșa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Fabian Stârcea managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when FC Velos's Gelu Horațiu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Gelu Horațiu sped through Poroina's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fabian Stârcea. Dumitru Sântimbrean kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Gelu Horațiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabian Stârcea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th match minute, Poroina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sever Barbonța to maneuver through the defense. Aristide Drâmba was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Fabian Stârcea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gelu Horațiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Gelu Horațiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Fabian Stârcea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gelu Horațiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gigel Petrea kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gelu Horațiu made a kick off. Gelu Horațiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. If Dumitru Sântimbrean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 played minutes, FC Velos's Aurelian Firea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabian Stârcea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Velos reached it. Dumitru Sântimbrean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Teodor Focșa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gelu Horațiu struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgar Brătescu during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
