Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) STAU BUKREŞ's Eugen Timaru started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iulian Corbeanu got free with Rareș Buciu in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rareș Buciu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petrică Ungheanu in the 4th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, STAU BUKREŞ's Moise Pârvuță got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute, Cirligi CF's Petrică Ungheanu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rareș Buciu. Rareș Buciu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 12th minute Eugen Timaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horea Dumitru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horea Dumitru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugen Timaru in the 14th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in STAU BUKREŞ's zone, Iulian Corbeanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rareș Buciu came out of the goal and Iulian Corbeanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Petrică Ungheanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cirligi CF getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Victor Pârlog hit a great ball. Eugen Timaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Eugen Timaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Iulian Corbeanu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Petrică Ungheanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cirligi CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Petrică Ungheanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rareș Buciu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Petrică Ungheanu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rareș Buciu. That made the score 2-0 in the 46 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

After 53 minutes, Laurențiu Rogozanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the STAU BUKREŞ and the Cirligi CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cirligi CF booed when STAU BUKREŞ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurențiu Rogozanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petrică Ungheanu in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rareș Buciu saved STAU BUKREŞ from getting behind. Rareș Buciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iulian Corbeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 63rd minute, Traian Babeș fired away a hard free kick towards the goal. Horea Dumitru moved to his left, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went out of bounds. After a rather tough play, Cirligi CF's Ovidiu Buzincu got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 80th minute Petrică Ungheanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rareș Buciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cirligi CF's Petrică Ungheanu in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye STAU BUKREŞ's goalie prevented a goal. During the 84th minute of the match Moise Pârvuță completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Moise Pârvuță a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 85th match minute, STAU BUKREŞ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moise Pârvuță to maneuver through the defense. Rareș Buciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petrică Ungheanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. If Iulian Corbeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. STAU BUKREŞ's Rareș Buciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petrică Ungheanu in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, STAU BUKREŞ's Eugen Timaru got a free kick in the 91st minute. Petrică Ungheanu struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Rareș Buciu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cirligi CF. If Iulian Corbeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cirligi CF had won after a very even match.
