After 18 minutes of play Corbuletu SC's Cristian Agachi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Corbuletu SC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Cristian Agachi hit a great ball. Flavius Olăroiu hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Tudor Cozorici made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurențiu Pivniceru in the 25th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Ovidiu Tătăruşanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sebastian Micu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Corbuletu SC's Tudor Cozorici played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelian Ortacu in the 32nd minute of play. Laurențiu Pivniceru's late challenge caught a Corbuletu SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laurențiu Pivniceru helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd match minute, Stignita AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurențiu Pivniceru to maneuver through the defense. Laurențiu Pivniceru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Tudor Cozorici tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Corbuletu SC's zone, Sever Lupeanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tudor Cozorici came out of the goal and Sever Lupeanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Corbuletu SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laurențiu Pivniceru to strike the kick off in the second half. Tudor Cozorici took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurențiu Pivniceru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute, Laurențiu Pivniceru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. During the 63rd minute of the match Laurențiu Pivniceru completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Laurențiu Pivniceru a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 64 played minutes Stignita AC got a freekick which was hit by Laurențiu Pivniceru. If Aurelian Ortacu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute.
