Cristian Agachi kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Victor Pârlog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petrică Ungheanu succeeded in the game's 28th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. 31 minutes into the match, Cirligi CF's Iulian Corbeanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tudor Cozorici narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Agachi's late challenge caught a Cirligi CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian Agachi helped the player get up and apologised. Cristian Agachi hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Petrică Ungheanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Cozorici having to interfere. In the 40th minute Petrică Ungheanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Cozorici saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Albulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horea Dumitru having to interfere. Petrică Ungheanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Corbuletu SC's goalkeeper Tudor Cozorici had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iulian Corbeanu. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabian Albulescu was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Cirligi CF's Sebastian Meleșcanu got a free kick in the 54th minute. Corbuletu SC's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 56th minute of the game, when Dorel Crețu after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Cirligi CF's goal. Dorel Crețu was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. In the 60th minute Petrică Ungheanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Cozorici saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Iulian Corbeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 63 minutes, Petrică Ungheanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cirligi CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petrică Ungheanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the game, Iulian Corbeanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Tudor Cozorici was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Corbuletu SC's Tudor Cozorici played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petrică Ungheanu in the 73rd minute of play. Tudor Cozorici showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petrică Ungheanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Iulian Corbeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 86 minutes, Paul Sinulescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corbuletu SC and the Cirligi CF players grew even worse after the yellow card.
