Petru Ţugui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Tomescu having to interfere. Tudor Tomescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petru Ţugui in the 4th minute of play. In the 8th match minute, Micsunesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iacob Vulpescu to maneuver through the defense. Marian Miclescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Grecescu in the 14th minute of the match. Tudor Tomescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petru Ţugui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albert Stănilă took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tudor Tomescu. Tudor Tomescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Petru Ţugui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Micsunesti's Marian Miclescu got control of the ball when Pavel Lupeanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Tudor Tomescu came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Micsunesti's Petru Ţugui. But to his dismay, Petru Ţugui quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Netotul's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Petru Ţugui scored to the left of an out of position Tudor Tomescu, making the score, 2-4. Cazimir Surdu's late challenge caught a Micsunesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cazimir Surdu helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Netotul! The audience was convinced that Petru Ţugui's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tudor Tomescu was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. Micsunesti's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
