Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Octav Mereacre started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurel Panait in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dragoş Vişoianu saved Stiubeiu SC from getting behind. 5 minutes into the game, Octav Mereacre cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dragoş Vişoianu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 10th minute of the match, Petre Leahu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ernest Drâmbă saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 12th match minute, Funduri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilian Tărâţă to maneuver through the defense. Dragoş Vişoianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinu Encuțescu in the 17th minute of play. Dragoş Vişoianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octav Mereacre, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Petre Leahu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ernest Drâmbă. The goal made the score 1-1. When Petre Leahu came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Stiubeiu SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petre Leahu couldn't finish the play. Petre Leahu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Drâmbă having to interfere. In the 28th minute Octav Mereacre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dragoş Vişoianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Funduri's Ernest Drâmbă got control of the ball when Narcis Mitrea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dragoş Vişoianu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinu Encuțescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dragoş Vişoianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octav Mereacre, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Stiubeiu SC's goal looked a bit too open when Octav Mereacre came free, but Dragoş Vişoianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dinu Encuțescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Dragoş Vişoianu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Petre Leahu made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Matei Macri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stiubeiu SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Octav Mereacre scored to the left of an out of position Dragoş Vişoianu, making the score, 1-2. When Petre Leahu came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Stiubeiu SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petre Leahu couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Stiubeiu SC's zone, Dinu Encuțescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dragoş Vişoianu came out of the goal and Dinu Encuțescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dinu Encuțescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dragoş Vişoianu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Mereacre in the 79th minute of the match. Narcis Mitrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ernest Drâmbă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Octav Mereacre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dragoş Vişoianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Dinu Encuțescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dragoş Vişoianu came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Funduri's Aurel Panait. But to his dismay, Aurel Panait quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3.
