The tension between the Trajan CSS and the Oituz Tg Ocna players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Trajan CSS getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Nae Stelian hit a great ball. Felix Spiridon charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Spiridon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristinel Alecu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ioan Ursu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oituz Tg Ocna's goalkeeper Cristinel Alecu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Iustin Stănculescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 26 minutes into the game, Trajan CSS's Codrin Dorlea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristinel Alecu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Codrin Dorlea came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Trajan CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Codrin Dorlea couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Codrin Dorlea in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristinel Alecu saved Oituz Tg Ocna from getting behind. Dan Onea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iustin Stănculescu having to interfere. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oituz Tg Ocna's goalkeeper Cristinel Alecu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 39 minutes into the game, Dan Onea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oituz Tg Ocna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trajan CSS the free kick. In the 39th match minute, Oituz Tg Ocna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Onea to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Trajan CSS were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mihail Tufescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Codrin Dorlea got free with Cristinel Alecu in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Oituz Tg Ocna's Cristinel Alecu got control of the ball when Codrin Dorlea tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ioan Ursu in the 55th minute of play forced Oituz Tg Ocna's goalkeeper Cristinel Alecu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Radu Aristide's late challenge caught a Trajan CSS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Radu Aristide helped the player get up and apologised. Radu Aristide kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 57 played minutes Oituz Tg Ocna got a freekick which was hit by Radu Aristide. Oituz Tg Ocna's Cristinel Alecu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codrin Dorlea in the 63rd minute of play. In the 68th minute, Marius Mitruț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Cristinel Alecu managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Trajan CSS's Codrin Dorlea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Trajan CSS's Ioan Ursu got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Oituz Tg Ocna's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ioan Ursu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 80 minutes, Eugen Necșulescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oituz Tg Ocna and the Trajan CSS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Oituz Tg Ocna:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Trajan CSS:s goal. When the match had been going on for 81 minutes, Trajan CSS's Damian Râznicu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cristinel Alecu. 87 minutes into the game, Ioan Ursu lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Cristinel Alecu. In the 95th minute, Constantin Vătafu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Trajan CSS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Oituz Tg Ocna.
