Parauseni SC's Leontin Mircescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinu Encuțescu in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinu Encuțescu in the 5th minute of play forced Parauseni SC's goalkeeper Leontin Mircescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Perișoară charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Perișoară the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th match minute, Parauseni SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Perișoară to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute of the match Gigi Braniște shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leontin Mircescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 11th minute Octav Mereacre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leontin Mircescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Aurel Panait got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17thth minute of the game Dinu Encuțescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Parauseni SC's Leontin Mircescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st match minute, Parauseni SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Perișoară to maneuver through the defense. Funduri's Sever Purcărete couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Parauseni SC. In the 26th match minute, Parauseni SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codrin Iureș to maneuver through the defense. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Funduri! Ernest Drâmbă had in the 31stth minute some difficulties stopping Aristide Căplescu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Parauseni SC's Aristide Căplescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernest Drâmbă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Aurel Panait fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leontin Mircescu having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Dinu Encuțescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Funduri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinu Encuțescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Funduri's Ernest Drâmbă got control of the ball when Codrin Iureș tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute Dinu Encuțescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leontin Mircescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dinu Encuțescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leontin Mircescu having to make a save. After some careless play in the Parauseni SC defense, Gigi Tufescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leontin Mircescu. The Parauseni SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leontin Mircescu should have stopped the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paul Stoleru to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Parauseni SC's Leontin Mircescu got control of the ball when Dinu Encuțescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Emilian Tărâţă recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leontin Mircescu. Emilian Tărâţă showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Parauseni SC's goalkeeper Leontin Mircescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Funduri's Dinu Encuțescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leontin Mircescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 74 minutes, Dinu Encuțescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When Dinu Encuțescu came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Funduri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dinu Encuțescu couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Parauseni SC's zone, Gigi Tufescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leontin Mircescu came out of the goal and Gigi Tufescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the match, Parauseni SC's goalkeeper Leontin Mircescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dinu Encuțescu. Emilian Tărâţă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Martin Perișoară hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinu Encuțescu got free with Leontin Mircescu in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
