When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Edgar Mândrilă sped through FC Girdoaia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dorin Mudura. Emanuel Georgescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumitru Honciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Dumitru Honciu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute Paul Pătrășconiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Georgescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Girdoaia's Dorin Mudura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save FC Girdoaia from getting a goal against them. Edgar Mândrilă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Dorin Mudura made a huge save. If Edgar Mândrilă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
