Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgar Mândrilă to make the kick off. FC ZALAU's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toader Capătă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Mândrilă in the 60th minute of play forced FC ZALAU's goalkeeper Nechifor Cinteză to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FK Partizan's Alin Balaci got a free kick in the 61st minute. Thanks to some nice moves Remus Verzeanu could shoot a difficult shot in the 68th minute, which Emanuel Georgescu however easily saved by the left post. Emanuel Georgescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toader Capătă in the 71st minute. Horaţiu Tolea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute.
