After 11 minutes, Petruț Spârlea made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. SS Ionatan Timisoara's Gigi Hrușcă tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Petruț Spârlea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gigi Hrușcă was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Gigi Hrușcă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petruț Spârlea, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. A collision led to SS Ionatan Timisoara getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Nicolae Bologan hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SS Ionatan Timisoara's zone, Petruț Spârlea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gigi Hrușcă came out of the goal and Petruț Spârlea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrei Șişman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emil Ortacu charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emil Ortacu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SS Ionatan Timisoara getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Emil Ortacu hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Gigi Hrușcă was a little too slow when Maxim Martin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 0-2. Petruț Spârlea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gigi Hrușcă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Codrin FC's Vlad Amărculesei got a free kick in the 59th minute. A hard shot by Andrei Șişman from long distance, 61 minutes into the match, got Gigi Hrușcă's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 62nd minute, Codrin FC's Petruț Spârlea dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. In the 66th minute, Nicolae Bologan had to leave the field with a concussion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maxim Martin during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maxim Martin kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Dacian Murgoci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the match, SS Ionatan Timisoara's goalkeeper Gigi Hrușcă had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petruț Spârlea. Codrin FC's Horea Malcoci managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Petru Cocea in the 85 minute of the game. After 88 played minutes Codrin FC got a freekick which was hit by Andrei Șişman. The throw-in from Petru Cocea in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Codrin FC's Horea Malcoci. Codrin FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
