Iacob Lupulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ovidiu Boeru's late challenge caught a FC Alex's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ovidiu Boeru helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC SPIRIT getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Ovidiu Boeru hit a great ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of FC SPIRIT:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Alex:s goal. When the match had been going on for 7 minutes, FC Alex's Traian Bologa got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Nicodim Cozmâncă. After a rather tough play, FC Alex's Nistor Vârșan got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Gigel Blidaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gigel Blidaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Arnăuțescu having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, FC SPIRIT's goal looked a bit too open when Pompiliu Dima came free, but Nicodim Cozmâncă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC SPIRIT's Ion Andone got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The supporters of FC Alex booed when FC SPIRIT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidiu Boeru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Traian Bologa's shot from long distance in the 25th minute was not bad at all, but FC SPIRIT's Nicodim Cozmâncă knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Petru Alexa took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicodim Cozmâncă. Nicodim Cozmâncă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 30 minutes into the match, FC Alex's Pompiliu Dima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicodim Cozmâncă narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pompiliu Dima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicodim Cozmâncă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Gigel Blidaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Arnăuțescu having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cătălin Bâru during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd minute of the match Ion Andone shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernest Arnăuțescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Petru Alexa came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the FC Alex fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petru Alexa couldn't finish the play. Pompiliu Dima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nicodim Cozmâncă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gigel Blidaru was the one to do the kick off. If Gigel Blidaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd match minute, FC Alex was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Bitang to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, FC Alex's Ernest Arnăuțescu got control of the ball when Iacob Lupulescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ernest Arnăuțescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigel Blidaru in the 57th minute of the match. After 57 played minutes FC Alex got a freekick which was hit by Nicolae Bîlbă. With a little luck, FC Alex's Ernest Arnăuțescu got control of the ball when Iacob Lupulescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pompiliu Dima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Nicodim Cozmâncă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernest Arnăuțescu made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Ovidiu Boeru sent off a good shot on target. FC Alex's Pompiliu Dima got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 74 minutes, Traian Bologa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Alex and the FC SPIRIT players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Alex getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Traian Bologa hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Iacob Lupulescu notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of FC Alex's Ernest Arnăuțescu. Ernest Arnăuțescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of FC Alex booed when FC SPIRIT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leontin Ivăncioiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Pompiliu Dima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Petru Alexa managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Alex's supporters rose to their feet, but Petru Alexa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicodim Cozmâncă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicodim Cozmâncă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petru Alexa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernest Arnăuțescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Blidaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Alex were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC SPIRIT for a fine match.
