In the 12th minute, Costin Găvănescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 16 minutes into the game, Ovidiu Boeru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC SPIRIT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dragoiasa the free kick. The supporters of Dragoiasa booed when FC SPIRIT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidiu Boeru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mădălin Tatulici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dragoiasa's Gavril Ştef got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Ilie Ştefoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Narcis Bojin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gigel Blidaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Nicu Baldovin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicodim Cozmâncă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narcis Bojin in the 35th minute of the match. The corner led to Dragoiasa's Narcis Bojin getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavril Ştef in the 41st minute of play forced FC SPIRIT's goalkeeper Nicodim Cozmâncă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gavril Ştef in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicodim Cozmâncă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gavril Ştef to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, FC SPIRIT's goalkeeper Nicodim Cozmâncă had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mihail Găină. In the 61st minute Gavril Ştef shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodim Cozmâncă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicu Baldovin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iacob Lupulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, FC SPIRIT's goal looked a bit too open when Gavril Ştef came free, but Nicodim Cozmâncă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC SPIRIT were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Dragoiasa for a fine match.
