Spectators: 7596 (Terracing: 5698, Seating: 1747, VIP seats: 151) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pompiliu Dima kicked off to start the match. Petru Alexa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Nicu Baldovin made a huge save. Ernest Arnăuțescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narcis Bojin, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Ernest Arnăuțescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavril Ştef in the 28th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes Dragoiasa got a freekick which was hit by Costin Găvănescu. Nicu Baldovin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pompiliu Dima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in FC Alex's zone, Narcis Bojin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernest Arnăuțescu came out of the goal and Narcis Bojin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Gavril Ştef managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dragoiasa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gavril Ştef was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mădălin Tatulici's late challenge caught a FC Alex's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mădălin Tatulici helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Dragoiasa getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Mădălin Tatulici hit a great ball.

After a defensive mix-up in FC Alex's zone, Narcis Bojin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernest Arnăuțescu came out of the goal and Narcis Bojin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernest Arnăuțescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavril Ştef in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Pompiliu Dima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicu Baldovin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Cătălin Bâru charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cătălin Bâru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mădălin Tatulici missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 62 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Ernest Arnăuțescu right hand side. Ernest Arnăuțescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Narcis Bojin in the 63rd minute. After 68 minutes of play, Dragoiasa's Narcis Bojin made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernest Arnăuțescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ernest Arnăuțescu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 2-3. In the 86th minute Dorel Iosifian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicu Baldovin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Costin Găvănescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dragoiasa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Alex the free kick. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Alex's goalkeeper Ernest Arnăuțescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Alex's Ernest Arnăuțescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mădălin Tatulici in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Dragoiasa had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
