Dinu Bărbuceanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Alin Mahonea came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the FC Rewenirea 2017 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alin Mahonea couldn't finish the play. Rareș Moculescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute, Aurel Voiculescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Hulesti getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Octavian Duca hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the match, FC Rewenirea 2017's goal looked a bit too open when Octavian Duca came free, but Dinu Bărbuceanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rareș Moculescu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Valer Vochin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dinu Bărbuceanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rareș Moculescu's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Rewenirea 2017's goalkeeper Dinu Bărbuceanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dinu Bărbuceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rareș Moculescu in the 64th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Rewenirea 2017's Petre Tufescu got a free kick in the 66th minute. Octavian Duca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rareș Moculescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinu Bărbuceanu having to interfere. If Ion Tatomir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Octavian Duca got free with Dinu Bărbuceanu in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rareș Moculescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Hulesti's Ion Tatomir got a free kick in the 95th minute. The supporters of FC Rewenirea 2017 booed when Hulesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ion Tatomir didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute of the match Valer Vochin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nae Chificeac showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
