After 4 played minutes Ursicse got a freekick which was hit by Tudor Bota. After a rather tough play, Ursicse's Codruț Istodor got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 14 played minutes SR Brasov got a freekick which was hit by Remus Găină. 22 minutes into the game, Teodor Huștea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gavril Hulubei was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gavril Hulubei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodor Huștea in the 25th minute of the match. Gavril Hulubei came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Ursicse's Aurel Chivulescu. But to his dismay, Aurel Chivulescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 40th minute, Francisc Suşu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ursicse fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodor Huștea made a kick off. When Aurel Chivulescu came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Ursicse fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurel Chivulescu couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute Teodor Huștea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavril Hulubei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SR Brasov's Gavril Hulubei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurel Chivulescu in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisc Suşu in the 62nd minute of play forced SR Brasov's goalkeeper Gavril Hulubei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 63 played minutes Teodor Huștea rounded SR Brasov's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Ursicse's Iacob Florei slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gavril Hulubei. That made the score 0-5 after 67 minutes of play. SR Brasov's Gavril Hulubei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save SR Brasov from getting a goal against them. In the 81st minute of the match, Aurel Chivulescu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gavril Hulubei was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ioan Mercescu during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ioan Mercescu kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 85th minute Vlad Baldazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Cărtărescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Ursicse's Gavril Hulubei threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Teodor Huștea, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, SR Brasov's Gavril Hulubei got control of the ball when Francisc Suşu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ursicse played a much better game than SR Brasov and deserved their victory. The SR Brasov players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
