After a defensive mix-up in F.C.Juventus Bacau's zone, Vintilă Scripcaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toader Miroiu came out of the goal and Vintilă Scripcaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If George Chirilă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgil Tăgorean's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrei Siadbei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Toader Miroiu came out of the goal and Vintilă Scripcaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vintilă Scripcaru made a kick off. Denis Şerb struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Toader Miroiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UFC Panticesti. 53 minutes into the match, F.C.Juventus Bacau's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Şerb came free, but Toader Miroiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. UFC Panticesti's Denis Şerb got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vintilă Scripcaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Toader Miroiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toader Miroiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Şerb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65thth minute of the game George Chirilă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UFC Panticesti's Andrei Siadbei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 71st minute, Stelian Bleoancă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgil Tăgorean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. F.C.Juventus Bacau's Virgil Tăgorean got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Vintilă Scripcaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Vintilă Scripcaru managed to get in a good position for a shot. UFC Panticesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Vintilă Scripcaru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toader Miroiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Vintilă Scripcaru, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 88 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Toader Miroiu was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 90th minute Denis Şerb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toader Miroiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. George Chirilă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
