The supporters of Protopopesti UFC booed when F.C.Steaua Mogo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moise Radovan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Călin Negrițoiu's late challenge caught a F.C.Steaua Mogo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Călin Negrițoiu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th match minute, Protopopesti UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Călin Negrițoiu to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute Moise Radovan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Teleagă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moise Radovan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Teleagă having to make a save. Călin Negrițoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iustinian Arapașu having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Valeriu Cucerdean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 30 minutes into the match, F.C.Steaua Mogo's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriu Cucerdean came free, but Iustinian Arapașu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Valeriu Cucerdean dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Iustinian Arapașu, 1-0. In the 34th minute, F.C.Steaua Mogo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Valeriu Cucerdean fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 36 minutes into the game, one of Protopopesti UFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave F.C.Steaua Mogo a penalty, 38 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mădălin Sârban, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Protopopesti UFC's Emanuel Teleagă. 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valeriu Cucerdean to make the kick off. Protopopesti UFC were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after F.C.Steaua Mogo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Călin Tănăsocă took the corner. Călin Tănăsocă made a great header on Protopopesti UFC's corner, it was just that F.C.Steaua Mogo's Iustinian Arapașu managed to reach the ball for a save. Damian Capisizu hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Călin Negrițoiu struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Iustinian Arapașu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Protopopesti UFC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moise Radovan in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Teleagă saved Protopopesti UFC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Moise Radovan in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Teleagă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dragoş Ciungu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Teleagă having to make a save. When F.C.Steaua Mogo's Moise Radovan in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Dragoş Ciungu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costel Ciutacu hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. F.C.Steaua Mogo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mădălin Sârban in the 100th minute. Iosif Brădean was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The F.C.Steaua Mogo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing F.C.Steaua Mogo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
