Călin Negrițoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Gabriel Mirciulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Real Brasov's Gabriel Mirciulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valeriu Cucerdean in the 43rd minute of play. With a little luck, Protopopesti UFC's Emanuel Teleagă got control of the ball when Edgar Basarabescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Codruț Lobonț's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Teleagă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Călin Negrițoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Mirciulescu having to interfere. Victor Doloman's late challenge caught a Protopopesti UFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Gabriel Mirciulescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Călin Negrițoiu in the 81st minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Călin Negrițoiu made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Mirciulescu. FC Real Brasov's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. With his leg Emanuel Teleagă managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when FC Real Brasov's Edgar Basarabescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Codruț Lobonț fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Teleagă having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
