The audience thought a goal was coming when Marius Lăzăroiu got free with Bogdan Bojonca in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Calimanesti getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Radu Drumeș hit a great ball. Marius Lăzăroiu came free with the goalkeeper in the 5th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bogdan Bojonca could save by the left post. In the 6th minute, Cătălin Milea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sarica FCM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Marius Lăzăroiu in the 9thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bogdan Bojonca, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mihai Balint fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihnea Turcu having to interfere. In the 18th match minute, Calimanesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radu Drumeș to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Calimanesti's zone, Cătălin Milea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogdan Bojonca came out of the goal and Cătălin Milea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grigore Barboni kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Calimanesti's Emanuel Iacob couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sarica FCM. In the 30th minute, Cătălin Milea fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Bogdan Bojonca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cătălin Milea, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 34th minute Cătălin Milea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Bojonca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Marius Lăzăroiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarica FCM's supporters rose to their feet, but Marius Lăzăroiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bogdan Bojonca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bogdan Bojonca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marius Lăzăroiu went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Valeriu Sava struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Bogdan Bojonca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarica FCM. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 54thth minute of the game Cătălin Milea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Calimanesti's Bogdan Bojonca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 56th minute, Dan Pușcașu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Iacob's shot from long distance in the 57th minute was not bad at all, but Sarica FCM's Mihnea Turcu knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 63rd match minute, Sarica FCM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Pușcașu to maneuver through the defense. Marius Lăzăroiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 played minutes Calimanesti got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Lăzărescu. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of Calimanesti:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sarica FCM:s goal. Grigore Barboni shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Cătălin Milea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Bogdan Bojonca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cătălin Milea in the 77th minute of play forced Calimanesti's goalkeeper Bogdan Bojonca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Cătălin Milea managed to get in a good position for a shot. When Cătălin Milea, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 96 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Bogdan Bojonca was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Calimanesti's zone, Marius Lăzăroiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogdan Bojonca came out of the goal and Marius Lăzăroiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sarica FCM's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
