Toader Rednic made a great header on Biohazard Galati's corner, it was just that FCSB's Rareș Negru managed to reach the ball for a save. After 19 played minutes Biohazard Galati got a freekick which was hit by Anton Nistorescu. Virgil Arieșan struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Biohazard Galati's Narcis Ştirbu got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Biohazard Galati booed when FCSB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavius Gârdan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Avram Ghioane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Narcis Ştirbu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Rareș Negru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Damian Bobeica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rareș Negru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Narcis Ştirbu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rareș Negru was relentless in the 74th minute of the game.
