Valentin Fințescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Popovici in the 10th minute of play. After 11 played minutes Sporting FC got a freekick which was hit by Luca Corlățean. Valentin Fințescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sever Popovici's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Filip Ghiciușca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sever Popovici might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valentin Fințescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sever Popovici ran back to his position shaking his head. Sever Popovici's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valentin Fințescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Valentin Fințescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sever Popovici in the 21st minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Sporting FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sever Popovici came free, but Valentin Fințescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Ghiciușca in the 27th minute of play forced Sporting FC's goalkeeper Valentin Fințescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filip Ghiciușca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Fințescu having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Sever Popovici's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valentin Fințescu was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. After 34 minutes of play Sporting FC's Luca Corlățean was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 35 played minutes Sporting FC got a freekick which was hit by Luca Corlățean. In the 38th minute of the match Blandesti UFC got a corner. Sporting FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Isac Donciu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Valentin Fințescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Ghiciușca, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filip Ghiciușca in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valentin Fințescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Sever Popovici's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valentin Fințescu was relentless in the 45th minute of the game.

The wind increased when Manole Jilăveanu made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Filip Ghiciușca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Blandesti UFC's Valentin Fințescu threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Filip Ghiciușca, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Horia Ignătoiu charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
