Virgil Arieșan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Fințescu having to interfere. Costică Voicu made in the 10th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Biohazard Galati's Marcu Vladimirescu. A collision led to Sporting FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Octavian Irod hit a great ball. 13 minutes in the game Toader Rednic after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Valentin Fințescu. A very good opportunity. If Virgil Arieșan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Biohazard Galati's Virgil Arieșan got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Narcis Ştirbu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Valentin Fințescu made a huge save. Damian Bobeica struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Valentin Fințescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Biohazard Galati. Narcis Mihădaș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentin Fințescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgil Arieșan, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. A throw-in in the 46th minute of the game was made by Dan Ailenei with Dacian Tolea as target, who quickly passed the ball forward.

Valentin Fințescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dumitru Săvescu went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 57 minutes into the match, Sporting FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Bobeica came free, but Valentin Fințescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting FC's zone, Virgil Arieșan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Fințescu came out of the goal and Virgil Arieșan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Biohazard Galati made a substitution. Aurelian Tincu replaced Anton Nistorescu. Valentin Fințescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Bobeica in the 64th minute of the match. Damian Bobeica recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dumitru Săvescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Fințescu having to interfere. If Virgil Arieșan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mugur Stanomir took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Valentin Fințescu. Sporting FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Valentin Fințescu came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Biohazard Galati's Damian Bobeica. But to his dismay, Damian Bobeica quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Cristinel Militaru hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. If Damian Bobeica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Virgil Arieșan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Biohazard Galati players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
