In the 42ndth minute of the game Dacian Vrejiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico Iasi's Petrică Strungă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Liviu Căliman's late challenge caught a DinamoStars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Atletico Iasi's Petrică Strungă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toader Fânaru in the 60th minute of play. Toader Fânaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dacian Vrejiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Petrică Strungă made a huge save. Bogdan Gligor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felix Obregia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Gligor in the 89th minute of play. Atletico Iasi's Bogdan Gligor got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atletico Iasi's goalkeeper Petrică Strungă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched DinamoStars eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
