Spectators: 7563 (Terracing: 5673, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 151) Zorlincior's Claudiu Urdăreanu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Zorlincior's Irinel Vancea got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After 3 played minutes, Ghionoaia FC's Eduard Niculcea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mass Panico came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ghionoaia FC reached it. Daniel Iancu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Mass Panico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8thth minute of the game Daniel Iancu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zorlincior's Mass Panico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Petrică Gologan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Mass Panico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ghionoaia FC's Șerban Panaite got a free kick in the 10th minute. Daniel Iancu charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Iancu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, Ghionoaia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Iancu to maneuver through the defense. In the 15thth minute of the game Petrică Gologan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zorlincior's Mass Panico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ilie Burgheleas short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Adrian Pipirig to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Ghionoaia FC's Adrian Pipirig got control of the ball when Ilie Burghelea tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Zorlincior defense, Petrică Gologan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mass Panico. The Zorlincior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mass Panico should have stopped the shot. Petru Mihuț hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After having played for 33 minutes, Ilie Burghelea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zorlincior's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ilie Burghelea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute Petrică Gologan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mass Panico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Iancu in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mass Panico prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46th minute Petrică Gologan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mass Panico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilie Burghelea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Iancu to make the kick off. If Petrică Gologan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Zorlincior getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Irinel Vancea hit a great ball. Ghionoaia FC's Daniel Iancu got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Ghionoaia FC's Daniel Iancu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mass Panico. Mass Panico yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Petrică Gologan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Mass Panico when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mass Panico made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petrică Gologan in the 67th minute. A collision led to Zorlincior getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Irinel Vancea hit a great ball. Petrică Gologans short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Mass Panico to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 0-3 came through a penalty shot after 79 played minutes, when Ghionoaia FC:s Eduard Niculcea calmly waited for Zorlincior:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Traian Zdraşcu kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 84th minute Daniel Iancu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mass Panico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petrică Gologan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Daniel Iancu came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Ghionoaia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Iancu couldn't finish the play. Ghionoaia FC's Petrică Gologan got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ghionoaia FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
