Cazimir Angheloiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toader Nedelea in the 4th minute. Toader Nedelea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Cazimir Angheloiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sorin Șişman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Toader Nedelea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristi Zafiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Cazimir Angheloiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toader Nedelea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When FC CFR Cluj's Cristi Zafiu in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sudrigi's goalie prevented a goal. 30 minutes into the match, Nechifor Ştefănoiu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eusebiu Pârvan. FC CFR Cluj's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nechifor Ştefănoiu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Eusebiu Pârvan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nechifor Ştefănoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cazimir Angheloiu made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Toader Nedelea sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nechifor Ştefănoiu to make the kick off. Cristi Zafiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Sudrigi's goal looked a bit too open when Cristi Zafiu came free, but Cazimir Angheloiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Radu Melinescu hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, FC CFR Cluj's Radu Melinescu got a free kick in the 79th minute. Eusebiu Pârvan made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when George Pânzariu sent off a good shot on target. Toader Nedelea struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Cazimir Angheloiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC CFR Cluj. 87 minutes into the game, Dorin Pumnu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sudrigi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC CFR Cluj the free kick. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sudrigi! In the 89th minute there was a penalty for FC CFR Cluj. Mihai Buciu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cazimir Angheloiu. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toader Nedelea in the 96th minute of play forced Sudrigi's goalkeeper Cazimir Angheloiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Denis Duca managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC CFR Cluj's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Duca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cazimir Angheloiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
