Spectators: 7520 (Terracing: 5641, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edgar Zdrehuş kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Cornetu CS booed when Granari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panait Miron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mihnea Erbașu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Zdrehuş in the 7th minute of play. After 8 played minutes Granari got a freekick which was hit by Alin Avarvarei. Eusebiu Puiu kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, the referee gave Granari a penalty. Ferdinand Bălcescu looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Mihnea Erbașu. Mihnea Erbașu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edgar Zdrehuş showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. Eusebiu Puiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grigore Nenițescu having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristian Mircescu during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cristian Mircescu hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Iustinian Todea took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Grigore Nenițescu. Grigore Nenițescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 32nd minute, Cazimir Mândrilă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mihnea Erbașu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Zdrehuş, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. When Iustinian Todea came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Cornetu CS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iustinian Todea couldn't finish the play. Ionel Aanuţei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iustinian Todea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Grigore Nenițescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Cosmin Mazilu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iustinian Todea was the one to do the kick off. Iustinian Todea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grigore Nenițescu having to interfere. Eusebiu Puiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Grigore Nenițescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 54 minutes, Iustinian Todea made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Granari's Grigore Nenițescu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Eusebiu Puiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusebiu Puiu took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Grigore Nenițescu. Grigore Nenițescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Cazimir Mândrilă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Eusebiu Puiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eusebiu Puiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iustinian Todea got free with Grigore Nenițescu in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 82nd minute, Valeriu Angheluță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grigore Nenițescu was a little too slow when Iustinian Todea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 2-4. In the 88th minute, Iustinian Todea fired away a free kick at goal. It was hit a tad too hard, and went over the crossbar. Cornetu CS's Ionel Aanuţei got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 91 minutes, Eusebiu Puiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cornetu CS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebiu Puiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iustinian Todea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grigore Nenițescu having to interfere. When the match was over Cornetu CS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Granari throughout the match.
