Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Basarab Grozăvescu started the match with the kick off. Doru Bădiță showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basarab Grozăvescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Soimii Negrii Bucuresti's Aristide Rainea tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Aristide Rainea's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Sever Mocanu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Aurelian Văcărescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Mocanu having to interfere. After 21 played minutes Soimii Negrii Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Aristide Rainea. 24 minutes into the match, Aurelian Văcărescu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sever Mocanu, 1-0. If Petruț Griguță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Aristide Rainea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Marmatia-Sighet MM's Sever Mocanu got control of the ball when Aristide Rainea tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurelian Văcărescu was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Soimii Negrii Bucuresti getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Felix Carabulea hit a great ball. Răzvan Maiorescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Doru Bădiță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sever Mocanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelian Văcărescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute Aurelian Văcărescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sever Mocanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Aristide Rainea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute of the match Vasile Boc shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sever Mocanu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 75th minute of the match Vasile Boc sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sever Mocanu skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Marmatia-Sighet MM's Iustinian Geantă got a free kick in the 75th minute. Aurelian Văcărescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Sever Mocanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Marmatia-Sighet MM getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Basarab Grozăvescu hit a great ball. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Marmatia-Sighet MM! After a defensive mix-up in Marmatia-Sighet MM's zone, Aristide Rainea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sever Mocanu came out of the goal and Aristide Rainea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Aurelian Văcărescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sever Mocanu was relentless in the 98th minute of the game.
